  • Calido Eco Log Briquettes are a high-quality, UK-produced wood fuel made from locally sourced sawmill residues. These eco-conscious briquettes are an ideal choice for those seeking a clean-burning, sustainable alternative to traditional firewood, suitable for wood-burning stoves, multi-fuel stoves, and open fires.

Each briquette measures approximately 310 mm x 75 mm and delivers a strong calorific value of around 4.8 kWh/kg, with an average burn time of 1.5 hours. Their smaller diameter and slightly shorter length make them a great fit for a wider range of stoves without the need to break them apart.

Highly compacted for a slow, efficient burn, Calido Eco Logs expand less than many other heat logs, thanks to the density and quality of the raw material used. Each pack contains 6 briquettes and weighs approximately 8.5 kg, depending on wood species and moisture content at the time of production.

These briquettes perform best when added to an already established fire. If starting from cold, we recommend using a generous amount of kindling to ensure effective ignition. As with all natural products, texture and appearance may vary slightly from batch to batch.

Available in three pallet sizes to suit your needs:

    • Full Pallet – 96 packs
    • 3/4 Pallet - 72 Packs
    • Half Pallet – 48 packs
    • Quarter Pallet - 24 Packs

You can choose your preferred delivery date at checkout, with free delivery available to most UK mainland postcodes. Please note deliveries are made by tail lift vehicle and on an economy service (8 am to 6 pm), so ensure your property is accessible and that you’re able to dispose of the pallet after delivery.

These briquettes must be stored in dry conditions to maintain their quality.

For a cleaner, space-saving and efficient heating option, Calido Eco Log Briquettes offer excellent performance with the added benefit of sustainability.

  • Delivery Vehicles & Access:

    • Nationwide deliveries are made using 18-tonne lorries via Palletline and local deliveries in the Stirling area are usually made by a 12-tonne delivery vehicle with our own driver.
    • Smaller vehicles may be available on request, but this cannot be guaranteed. If you need a smaller vehicle, please notify our team each time you order.
    • Full Pallets of Briquettes will always be delivered on the larger 18 tonne vehicles - they cannot be delivered on small 7.5 tonne vehicles due to the weight limits restriction on the tail lifts.

    Delivery & Unloading Process:

    • Deliveries are kerbside only, but where possible, the driver may move the pallet closer to your property if terrain allows.
    • The lorry is equipped with a tail lift and the driver will use a pallet truck to unload your goods.
    • Important: Pallet trucks can only be used on firm, level ground such as concrete, tarmac, or monoblock. They cannot be used on slopes, loose gravel, grass, or mud, so an alternative drop-off location would be required.

    Space & Access Requirements:

    • The delivery lorry is approximately the size of a fire engine. If you have restricted access, please inform us before ordering.
    • Pallets are about 1.2 m wide, so ensure gates or entryways are wide enough to accommodate them.
    • Drivers are not insured to unpack or carry goods into your house.

Empty Crate & Pallet Collection Policy:

    • Disposal of crates and pallets is the customer’s responsibility.
    • Delivery drivers are unable to collect empty crates or pallets after delivery. This is due to carrier restrictions – empty crates can be classed as waste, requiring a waste carrier’s licence, and vehicles often do not have space to take them back.
    • Many customers cut the crates up for kindling (they’re kiln-dried, so ideal for this), or offer them for free on local selling pages, where they’re often collected quickly.

Firewood FAQs

Your Firewood Questions Answered

  • Birch lights very easily and gives a lively, bright flame with fast heat output - perfect for quick fires and smaller stoves.
  • Ash burns steadily and produces excellent heat, making it a great all-rounder for regular use.
  • Oak is a dense hardwood that burns slowly with long-lasting heat and a steady flame - ideal for long, slow-burning fires.
  • All three species are high-quality kiln dried hardwoods and suitable for indoor or outdoor use.

Yes, all of our logs are kiln dried to a moisture content of below 20% and are Ready to Burn certified. All our briquettes are also Ready to Burn approved and the moisture content is usually around 10%. This makes our logs and briquettes perfectly suited for wood burning stoves, multi-fuel stoves, open fires, firepits and pizza ovens.

Yes, as they are low moisture, our logs and briquettes burn cleanly and efficiently with minimal smoke, less soot build-up and very little residue. This helps protect your stove, chimney or flue while producing more heat from every log.

No, once logs have been used, it’s the customer’s responsibility to dispose of or repurpose the crate or pallet. Many customers find they’re great for kindling storage or as garden planters.
