The Calido Fire Log Twin Pack offers premium UK-produced wood briquettes made from locally sourced sawmill residue, providing an eco-friendly heating option. These briquettes are the same as the square Verdo briquettes previously offered and are designed to fit a wide range of stoves without needing to be broken.
Burning with minimal expansion due to their high-quality raw materials and compact manufacturing process, they offer approximately 1.5 to 2 hours of burn time, plus an additional hour of glowing embers. Burn times may vary based on stove type and usage. Dense and compact, they ignite best when added to an existing fire, with kindling recommended for starting from scratch.
Each pack contains 12 briquettes weighing around 20kg (24 briquettes in total, approx. 40 kg), though weight may vary due to natural raw materials and moisture content. Suitable for wood-burning and multifuel stoves, as well as open fires, these briquettes must be stored in dry conditions to maintain their quality.

Yes, all of our logs are kiln dried to a moisture content of below 20% and are Ready to Burn certified. All our briquettes are also Ready to Burn approved and the moisture content is usually around 10%. This makes our logs and briquettes perfectly suited for wood burning stoves, multi-fuel stoves, open fires, firepits and pizza ovens.
Yes, as they are low moisture, our logs and briquettes burn cleanly and efficiently with minimal smoke, less soot build-up and very little residue. This helps protect your stove, chimney or flue while producing more heat from every log.
