Dean Forge Cool Wall Heat Shield
The Dean Forge Cool Wall Heat Shield is an innovative heat shield designed to reduce installation restrictions when fitting a wood burning or multi-fuel stove near combustible walls. Engineered and manufactured by Dean Forge, the Cool Wall creates a protective barrier behind your stove, allowing greater flexibility when installing your appliance while maintaining excellent stove performance.
Greater Installation Flexibility
Modern wood burning stoves are designed to maximise heat output and efficiency, which can increase the required distance to combustible materials. The Dean Forge Cool Wall helps overcome these installation challenges by reducing heat transfer to the wall behind the stove, making it possible to install compatible Dean Forge stoves closer to combustible surfaces.
The Dean Forge Difference
Unlike some manufacturers who reduce combustion air during testing to lower heat output, Dean Forge designs its stoves for optimum performance. During testing, the Dean Forge Cool Wall recorded temperatures of over 600°C behind the stove while the temperature of the combustible wall behind the Cool Wall increased by only 4°C, demonstrating its impressive insulating performance.
Available Sizes
- Small: 750mm (W) x 800mm (H) x 80mm (D)
- Medium: 900mm (W) x 1100mm (H) x 80mm (D)
- Large: 1200mm (W) x 1100mm (H) x 80mm (D)
All sizes are finished in a durable high-temperature black coating.
Installation Information
When installed with a compatible Dean Forge stove, the appliance can be positioned as little as 50mm from the Dean Forge Cool Wall, even where there is a combustible wall behind. Please refer to your stove's installation manual for model-specific guidance.
