  • Our Bulk Bag of Oak Kiln Dried Logs provides a convenient supply of premium hardwood firewood for customers looking for a slower burn and long-lasting warmth.

Oak is a dense hardwood that burns slowly, producing sustained heat and a steady flame. This makes it an excellent choice for longer fires and occasions where you want to keep your stove burning for extended periods without the faster burn associated with lighter hardwoods.

Professionally kiln dried to a moisture content of below 20% and Ready to Burn approved, our Oak logs provide clean and efficient combustion with minimal smoke, allowing you to enjoy the naturally slow-burning characteristics of Oak without the high moisture levels associated with unseasoned firewood.

Each bulk bag contains approximately 0.8 loose cubic metres of premium Oak firewood, with logs cut to approximately 25cm (+/-10%) to suit most wood-burning stoves, multi-fuel stoves, open fires and fire pits.

The loose-filled bulk bag format provides a convenient alternative to a full crate and is particularly useful for topping up an existing log store or where a smaller quantity of premium Oak firewood is required.

For best results, we recommend transferring your logs to a dry, well-ventilated log store after delivery, as the bulk bag is designed for transportation rather than long-term outdoor storage.

    Why Choose Oak?

    • Dense premium hardwood
    • Burns more slowly for long-lasting warmth
    • Produces a steady flame and sustained heat
    • Excellent choice for longer fires
    • Ideal for keeping your stove burning for extended periods

    Product Details:

    • Species: Oak
    • Volume: Approx. 0.8 loose m³
    • Moisture Content: Below 20%
    • Certification: Ready to Burn approved
    • Approximate Log Length: 25cm (+/-10%)
    • Supplied loose filled in a bulk bag
    • Suitable for wood-burning stoves, multi-fuel stoves, open fires and fire pits

Please note: Due to natural variations in Oak as a raw material, log sizes can vary more significantly than with Birch or Ash. Your bulk bag may therefore contain a wider mixture of smaller and larger logs. If you would prefer smaller or larger logs, please add a note to your order and we'll do our best to accommodate your request, although exact sizes cannot be guaranteed.

Firewood is a natural product and the bulk bag is intended for transportation rather than long-term storage. Logs should be transferred to a suitable dry and well-ventilated log store after delivery.

  • Delivery Vehicles & Access:

    • Nationwide deliveries are made using 18-tonne lorries via Palletline and local deliveries in the Stirling area are usually made by a 12-tonne delivery vehicle with our own driver.
    • Smaller vehicles may be available on request, but this cannot be guaranteed. If you need a smaller vehicle, please notify our team each time you order.
    • Full Pallets of Briquettes will always be delivered on the larger 18 tonne vehicles - they cannot be delivered on small 7.5 tonne vehicles due to the weight limits restriction on the tail lifts.

    Delivery & Unloading Process:

    • Deliveries are kerbside only, but where possible, the driver may move the pallet closer to your property if terrain allows.
    • The lorry is equipped with a tail lift and the driver will use a pallet truck to unload your goods.
    • Important: Pallet trucks can only be used on firm, level ground such as concrete, tarmac, or monoblock. They cannot be used on slopes, loose gravel, grass, or mud, so an alternative drop-off location would be required.

    Space & Access Requirements:

    • The delivery lorry is approximately the size of a fire engine. If you have restricted access, please inform us before ordering.
    • Pallets are about 1.2 m wide, so ensure gates or entryways are wide enough to accommodate them.
    • Drivers are not insured to unpack or carry goods into your house.

Empty Crate & Pallet Collection Policy:

    • Disposal of crates and pallets is the customer’s responsibility.
    • Delivery drivers are unable to collect empty crates or pallets after delivery. This is due to carrier restrictions – empty crates can be classed as waste, requiring a waste carrier’s licence, and vehicles often do not have space to take them back.
    • Many customers cut the crates up for kindling (they’re kiln-dried, so ideal for this), or offer them for free on local selling pages, where they’re often collected quickly.

Firewood FAQs

Your Firewood Questions Answered

  • Birch lights very easily and gives a lively, bright flame with fast heat output - perfect for quick fires and smaller stoves.
  • Ash burns steadily and produces excellent heat, making it a great all-rounder for regular use.
  • Oak is a dense hardwood that burns slowly with long-lasting heat and a steady flame - ideal for long, slow-burning fires.
  • All three species are high-quality kiln dried hardwoods and suitable for indoor or outdoor use.

Yes, all of our logs are kiln dried to a moisture content of below 20% and are Ready to Burn certified. All our briquettes are also Ready to Burn approved and the moisture content is usually around 10%. This makes our logs and briquettes perfectly suited for wood burning stoves, multi-fuel stoves, open fires, firepits and pizza ovens.

Yes, as they are low moisture, our logs and briquettes burn cleanly and efficiently with minimal smoke, less soot build-up and very little residue. This helps protect your stove, chimney or flue while producing more heat from every log.

No, once logs have been used, it’s the customer’s responsibility to dispose of or repurpose the crate or pallet. Many customers find they’re great for kindling storage or as garden planters.
