Which gas can I use with the O-Grill 500?
The O-Grill 500 can be used with two common gas options:
Option 1: Screw-on EN417 gas canisters

For the simplest portable setup, the O-Grill 500 can be connected directly to a screw-on gas canister with an EN417 threaded self-sealing valve.

These are the small camping-style gas canisters commonly used for camping stoves and portable gas appliances. They usually contain a butane/propane gas mix and are widely available online and from outdoor retailers.

No separate adaptor is required for this screw-on canister option.

Suitable examples include Coleman C300 / C500 Performance gas cartridges, or equivalent EN417 threaded butane/propane mix canisters.

Option 2: Patio gas bottle with regulator and hose

For longer cooking sessions, the O-Grill 500 can also be used with a larger patio gas bottle, such as a 5kg or larger patio gas cylinder.
- This setup requires a suitable regulator and hose, view here. The regulator screws into the back of the O-Grill and then clips onto the 27mm push-fit valve on the patio gas bottle.This type of bottle is commonly used for gas BBQs and patio heaters.

This is the better option if you plan to cook for longer periods or use the grill regularly at home.

Please ensure you use the correct push-fit patio gas regulator for your bottle type. Many UK patio gas bottles use a 27mm clip-on connection, but you should always check the bottle and regulator compatibility before use.
