  • Designed by renowned Dutch designer Roderick Vos, the RB73 Fennek 50 is a stylish, compact outdoor fireplace built from 3 mm CorTen steel. The name Fennek comes from the fennec fox, reflecting the design’s clever and streamlined appearance. With crisp sight lines and a modular structure, it shares components with the larger Fennek 80, offering exceptional quality in a more compact footprint.

Available in two versions, you can choose either the 3-sided glass model with a heat-resistant concrete back wall or the 4-sided glass model for an uninterrupted view of the flames. The side panels lock firmly into place but can be released with ease, and clever ventilation gaps allow airflow across the glass to keep it clean. The firebox is constructed from high-quality refractory concrete for long-lasting durability and superior heat retention.

The integrated door handle is cleverly recessed into the door frame, with a notch that allows the door to be held slightly ajar when lighting the fire—an ideal feature for efficient ignition. Like all RB73 stoves, the Fennek 50 features a deep combustion chamber and a 20 cm flue stub that ensures rainwater cannot enter from above. The stove sits on robust legs fitted with stainless steel bolts, lifting it off the ground to prevent rust staining on patio surfaces.

To tailor the fireplace to your outdoor setting, the Fennek 50 can be fitted with a number of accessories, including flue elbows (available in 45- or 90-degree angles) and flue pipes in 500 mm or 1000 mm lengths, offering flexibility for different installations. A spark catcher can be added within the elegantly designed rain hood for additional safety. There is also the option of a CorTen steel floor plate, measuring 745 x 745 mm, to protect the surface beneath the stove, as well as a heat shield back wall for added protection when positioning near structures.

With its compact form, clean lines and thoughtful features, the Fennek 50 is a refined centrepiece for any garden or terrace.

*The RB73 Quaruba range have a heat resistant stone in their base making them suitable for use on decking as there is very little downward heat transfer. While they are a closed appliance which makes them much safer than a firepit care should still be exercised when lighting or refuelling and a suitable heart plate (sold separately) should be used if deemed necessary.
