Ready To Burn Scheme

Wood fuel and air quality has become a hot topic and stove owners are being asked to think about the impact of burning poor quality firewood has on the environment. A stove is only as good as the wood it burns and so the Ready to Burn stamp of approval will reassure those who purchase firewood/briquettes with its logo that they are dry enough and immediately ready to burn.

Great news! Here at Calido Logs & Stoves, all of our Ash, Birch and Oak logs fall under the Ready To Burn scheme.

Buying logs frequently asked questions

Why should I choose kiln dried logs?

Kiln dried logs usually only have around a 20% moisture level, this improves the overall quality of the wood. Our kiln dried logs provide a clean and maximum burn time.

Will a log store get me through the winter?

The length of time a log store lasts will depend on the size of the store you purchase and how many logs you use on a daily basis. We can provide advice on the best type of log store to purchase.

What are briquettes designed for?

Briquettes are a combustable material that can be used to start and maintain a fire. Biomass briquettes are most commonly made of green waste or other organic material.
