Our Calido HotBlox® Fire Log Briquettes are our entry level briquette, UK-produced from locally sourced sawmill residue, making them an excellent choice for those who prioritise sustainability.
They are suitable for a wide range of stoves without the need for breaking. While they expand slightly when burning, their expansion is minimal compared to other heat logs or briquettes, thanks to the high compression and carefully selected raw materials used in production. As the raw material is a mixture of sawmill residues, the texture of the briquettes may vary slightly from batch to batch. Since they are made from a natural and variable product, we cannot guarantee that every delivery will be identical.
On an established fire, these briquettes provide a burn time of approximately 1 to 1.5 hours, with a glowing period of around 2 hours total. Burn time and performance may vary depending on the stove type and how it is used. Due to their dense composition, they are best added to an existing fire. If used alone, a generous amount of kindling is required to ensure proper ignition.
Each pack contains 12 briquettes, with a total weight of approximately 10kg per pack, depending on wood species and moisture content at the time of production. They are designed to fit most stoves and are also suitable for open fires, wood-burning stoves, and multi fuel stoves. Please note that disposal of the pallet is the customer’s responsibility, and these briquettes must be stored in dry conditions.
