How to Use in a Wood Fired Hot Tub

eco3spa Step 1 can be used as a simple and effective cleaner for wood fired hot tubs without circulation systems or jets.

1. Empty your wood fired hot tub completely.
2. Add a small amount of eco3spa Step 1 cleaner to a bucket or mop bucket filled with warm water.
3. Using a soft cloth, sponge or mop, thoroughly clean all internal surfaces of the tub.
4. Pay particular attention to water lines, seating areas and corners where grease and residue can build up.
5. Rinse the tub thoroughly using clean water or a hose.
6. Allow the tub to drain fully before refilling with fresh water.

Between Uses

eco3spa Step 1 can also be diluted and used to wipe around the edges and waterline of your wood fired hot tub between uses to help prevent scum build-up and maintain a clean finish.

How to Use in Hot Tubs with Jets & Pipework

1. Ensure the hot tub is filled with water to approximately 50mm above all jets and air vents.
2. Open all air inlet valves and centre any diverter valves.
3. Remove headrests and filters from the tub.
4. Pour the eco3spa Step 1 cleaner into the water, reserving a small amount to clean the shell and headrests afterwards.

5. Run all pumps, jets and air blowers for at least 60 minutes.

   Foaming and dark particles are normal as biofilm and contaminants are removed from the system.

6. Leave the water to stand for 30 minutes.
7. Run the pumps and jets again for a further 30 minutes.
8. Drain the hot tub completely. The discharged water is environmentally safe and can be emptied onto grass or plants.
9. As the water drains, wipe away any residue from the shell using a soft cloth and fresh water.
10. Use the reserved cleaner sparingly for stubborn marks or scum lines.
11. Rinse all surfaces thoroughly to prevent foaming after refilling.
12. Refill the hot tub with clean water and replace cleaned filters and headrests.
